#65 | #NotMySuperman

Brandon, John, Ken, and Jamison hang their collective heads in shame as “Batman v Superman” continues its critical and commercial freefall, which leads to a heavy debate over whether or not “Man of Steel” was Supermanish enough of a film.

That’s hardly the only item on the docket for this show, which includes discussion of Janet Jackson’s troubles with her ticket buyers, the “Star Wars: Rogue One” Trailer (and the sexist backlash against it), Brandy’s record-label troubles, boardroom turmoil at both Warner Bros. and Disney that puts new DC and Marvel stuff in jeopardy, and Orlando Brown venting out at the world. Plus, reviews of the films “Ricki & the Flash” and “Chi-Raq” as well as extended discussions and reviews of “The Carmichael Show”, “Scandal”, “The Walking Dead”, “Empire”, “The People vs. OJ Simpson”, and – in the post-show – Brandon stans over a landmark moment from one of the most recent episodes of “Underground”.

Join Brandon, John, Kareem, Ken, and Jamison as we discuss, dissect, and try to make sense of the past, present, and future in film, television, music, animation, race relations in media - and on occasion comics and tech - while trying to remain sane. If you’re tired of hearing the same (*ahem*) monochromatic take on modern media, we’re the podcast for you!
