#136 | Lit Lemon

“New Year, New Me?” In the cases of drunk and uninhibited Don Lemon or loud and wrong Kim Burrell, maybe they should have stayed as they were in 2016. The Say Something Nice Crew is back to discuss the both of them, as well as Megyn Kelly & Greta Van Susteren defecting from Fox News, the BAFTA Awards adding diversity requirements, Coachella’s anti-LGBT owner, Amazon’s “The Man in the High Castle” and Mel Brooks’ classic “The Producers” (and its modern musical variants).

Join Brandon, John, Kareem, Ken, and Jamison as we discuss, dissect, and try to make sense of the past, present, and future in film, television, music, animation, race relations in media - and on occasion comics and tech - while trying to remain sane. If you’re tired of hearing the same (*ahem*) monochromatic take on modern media, we’re the podcast for you!

With regard to the Tyler Perry/Lee Daniels/Dragon Ball comment, I believe the reference you’re looking for is “Final Form” — as in, what Freeza would refer to changing into during his story arc.

Lee Daniels is the final form of Tyler Perry. Let us hope we never see him assume that form anytime soon.
