#139 | Mama, Is Massa Gonna Sell Us Tomorrow?

This week, the minstrel voices of Chrisette Michelle and Sam from Sam & Dave helped ring in the era of #AgentOrange as our new Racist-in-Chief. We discuss the career suicide of such self-hating decisions, along with our top picks for musical selections to commemorate such a historically horrible event.

In addition to those shenanigans, we also talked about M. Night Shyamalan’s new film “Split” (which doesn’t suck!), Netflix’s version of “Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events,” and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson finagling himself a “Black Adam” solo film to complement his role in DC Comics’ upcoming “Shazam!” movie.

Join Brandon, John, Kareem, Ken, and Jamison as we discuss, dissect, and try to make sense of the past, present, and future in film, television, music, animation, race relations in media - and on occasion comics and tech - while trying to remain sane. If you’re tired of hearing the same (*ahem*) monochromatic take on modern media, we’re the podcast for you!
