#203 | Streaming Wars, Episode I: The Phantom Menace of Digital Video | #saysomethingreal

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, a series of enterprising programmers began developing methods to allow the citizenry the ability to watch television in a realm known as the World Wide Web. The people were pleased, and this new form of sorcery, dubbed “streaming video,” grew like wildfire, leading to massive changes and competitions in the entertainment business over a relatively short period of time. In this episode, the SSN Crew strikes back to discuss the awakening of Flash, Netflix, Hulu, and more, while holding out hope for the return of their true dream: something that will one day give the galaxy a la carte cable.

Join Brandon, John, Kareem, Ken, and Jamison as we discuss, dissect, and try to make sense of the past, present, and future in film, television, music, animation, race relations in media - and on occasion comics and tech - while trying to remain sane. If you’re tired of hearing the same (*ahem*) monochromatic take on modern media, we’re the podcast for you!
