SSNPod #232 | 2017 is Dead, Long Live 2018 | #saysomethingreal

The year 2017 may have, frankly, sucked for a number of reasons, but at least we had several thought-provoking films, a few entertaining TV shows, and some great music to carry us over. In this episode, the SSN crew lists a few of their favorite things from the year 2017, some of them obvious and some of them…surprising. In addition, we look forward to our new year with previews of the upcoming films set to be released in 2018, from the good (we goin’ to Wakanda, y’all) to the not-so-good (white Samson? Really?).

Join Brandon, John, Kareem, Ken, and Jamison as we discuss, dissect, and try to make sense of the past, present, and future in film, television, music, animation, race relations in media - and on occasion comics and tech - while trying to remain sane. If you’re tired of hearing the same (*ahem*) monochromatic take on modern media, we’re the podcast for you!
